I applied the fix myself, but the --output option did not work - it only printed on screen.

I think it is not. As we implemented the option output that requires a file parameter, and it should print the complete graph into that file. (it also appends ".json" if necessary) The actually exists (see
https://github.com/Persper/js-callgraph/blob/master/src/runner.js#L177)

I do my best to check this problem out.
