Project Phoenix (or Phoenix) is a project to audit and standardize the current Parchment mapping data set.

The Parchment mapping set is based off of a snapshot of the old community-source MCP mapping set, used by the Minecraft Forge project. However, the tooling behind the MCP mapping set meant that contributions could only be edited by those with access to the toolchain database, which is a select group with limited time. This means the MCP mapping set is full of cruft, both names and javadocs, which needs to be cleaned and standardized.

The list of reviewed classes and packages are on a Google Sheets spreadsheet, editable by ParchmentMC team members and commentable by any viewer. Any Pull Request submitted which relates to Project Phoenix will be marked with the Project Phoenix milestone Please visit the Discord server for discussions about this project, and on how to contribute to the project.
