This work seems non trivial mainly because the Tap stream doesn't seem to play nicely with the link_selections or maybe it is the hv.Image that is causing problems as the Selection1D was appearing to have problems there as well.

It is possible using the current tools to select one cell. The selection currently works on cell centers (not visible but it is the middle of each cell) so to select one cell you need to draw a selection that only contains the cell center for the desired cell.
