OVRAS [5.7.3] breaking recentering with SteamVR [1.26] #635
Comments
Do you use the WMR bounds or Not? i.e. the white lines? |
I do, yes. |
This has been identified as the culprit in the WMR subreddit. I have the issue as well, and surprised it hasn't been noticed here a lot earlier. I was wondering what is going on, when supposedly SteamVR already got a "fix" for the recenter issue, but some users were still not able to recenter. Deleting OpenVR Advanced Settings will let you recenter again, but then you of course lose the advanced settings... |
If it just started happening valve changed some code with 1.26 of steamvr which got pushed to live ~ a week ago, if it's been longer than that than all I can really say Is Github or discord is the best way to get issues presented, I don't follow all the subreddits like I used to. I'm tracking another issue that MAY be related that involves crashing steamvr to error 203 but will lok into this when I get a chance |
I also have this issue, started with 1.26 update. i disabled in overlays loading and recentering works again |
Describe the bug
Attempting to recenter no longer visibly shows any response/change as of SteamVR's latest change. This persists both in-game and out-of-game.
To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:
Expected behavior
Center changing to new orientation

Additional context
Removing OVRAS per someone's suggestion did fix the issue.
Possible explanation is due to SteamVR merging Sitting and Standing recenter.
