See e.g.snacktavish/aves on production. Refresh marks three trees as REMOVED, but @snacktavish is pretty sure they're still in phylesystem. What's up with that?

It looks like the mismatch is because our index is stale. Note that the same trees are "missing" if we try to add them again using the study/tree browser:
