I may be wrong (the rest of the team are travelling) but I believe that is a legacy URL that is now a scripted redirect to https://opensource.org/license/mit following the move from Drupal to Wordpress and the application of a standardised license identifier syntax in recent years.
This may very well be the case. The URL is not provided by me directly however but is baked into a nuget package for which I would like to validate it's license for.
Even with this information I'm still struggling to understand why a 403 would be the result. Should a redirect not return something like 301?
I'm trying to get the content of http://opensource.org/licenses/mit-license.php in one of my github actions. This consistently fails in the past few days. (See https://github.com/sensslen/nuget-license/actions/runs/11593479763/job/32277606307?pr=99).
Please find the response content as well as the response headers in the linked action run....
