If users cannot create an account within the wallet client, they will usually not bother. On this basis, it doesn't make much sense to give wallets credit for avoiding merging inputs between accounts, perhaps unless the wallet also warns about merging inputs in general.

It would work as follows: Any time the user is sending funds that results in merging multiple inputs (perhaps excepting BIP 126 compliant transactions or multi-user join transactions), the user would be shown a warning dialogue that the transaction will result in a loss of utxo privacy.
