Hi all,

I think that the actual structure is quite unfriendly, I would like to reorganize the notebooks in a different way, I think something like the following structure could be useful

  • maintain the intro notebook in the main directory
  • maintain images folder (with all the images)
  • maintain projects folder and move some of the GSOC 2015 and SciTools-courses (with all the notebooks divided by project)
  • create tutorial folder notebooks recalling notebooks from project folder but organized for topics and not for projects

Another tasks is to rename notebooks, each notebook should start with number to organize them according a work flow.

What do you think?

There was a discussion on an IRC meeting before 10.0 release about how to proceed with notebooks. The main decision was that current status is not ready for prime time, thus the notebook was not linked in the docs. The main thought was to simplify the entry point for a new user, using a small number of notebooks, which would be easier to maintain on the long term. Then ask projects to include their own quickstarts/notebooks and maintain them for later releases.
