Loki on Windows and paths with more than 260 characters

Running Loki on my Windows 10 reported

[ERROR] [Error 3] Path not found: u'C:\xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx\*.*'

I assume this is due to the 260 characters in a file-path limit of Windows.

possible solution

Opening the directory via UNC path \\.\? prefix
