test: run tests automatically at fixed time intervals, to catch shifts in dependencies #987

goal

be able to know if shifts in dependencies have left us with a broken setup

approach

  • run our tests on all platforms at fixed intervals, and notify on failure
  • fortnightly/monthly is probably fine
