When posting a question, users are encouraged to provide the following information:
The platform or system being used (e.g., Hera, Orion, WCOSS, MacOS, Linux)
The version of the UPP being used (e.g., develop, upp_v11.0.0). (To determine this, users can run git branch, and the name of the branch or tag with an asterisk * in front of it is the name of the branch or tag they are working on.) Note that the UPP version being used and the version of the documentation being used should match, or users will run into difficulties.
Stage of the UPP when the issue appeared (i.e., build/compilation, configuration, or run)
Contents of relevant configuration files (e.g., itag file, control file)
Full error message (preferably in text form rather than a screenshot)
Current shell (e.g., bash, csh) and modules loaded
Compiler + MPI combination being used
Run directory and code directory, if available on supported platforms

NOTE: Support for WRF ended a few years ago, and the UPP team unfortunately does not have the resources to dig into WRF-related issues. When possible, it is recommended that users switch to the Unified Forecast System (UFS) Weather Model and associated applications. UPP support is available for the UFS, and the UPP is included in certain application workflows, like the Short-Range Weather (SRW) Application workflow. That said, users may find some useful information in this post, which talks about some of the changes that are required for running WRF with UPP v11.0.0. Users may also find WRF support on the WRF/MPAS forum.
