There is no way to specify to the cloud api creation command to specify the resourceType. We are unable to to request API key creation for resourceType='cloud' for example.

We can create a schema registry api key by specifying the schema-registry cluster id in the logicalClusters attribute
wrdls pushed a commit to wrdls/terraform-provider-confluentcloud that referenced this issue Jun 29, 2021
Disable api key validation to support other keys than Kafka cluster.
