Detect empty parking

Ultrasonic sensor position near parking --> Detect empty parking --> Using wifi (Send a command via Wi-Fi to some IP address)

• Ultrasonic sensors (apparently 5m)
• Arduino (investigate ways to power it)
• Apparently you can communication via Wi-Fi (https://docs.arduino.cc/retired/boards/arduino-uno-wifi/)

Position: back of parking, possibly angled, possibly elevated
If sensor detect object within range of 1m*, classify as filled slot
Possibly use multiple sensors
Ultrasonic sensors are cheap AF.

I got a hold of an Orange Pi zero2, a cheap ($40) alternative to the raspberry pi.

• Docs
• Library for setting up GPIO control with Python
• Python code to use Orange Pi with Ultrasonic Sensor (will need to be changed)
