ZoomIt LiveZoom in clipchamp not working and cursor not visible #793

I think I managed to get a repro. So the steps are:
Does this look right? |
Hello Alex Thank you very much. Unfortunately, I'm not really familiar with the processes in Github. I have tried to reproduce your repro. Yes, it behaves like this. How I discovered the "error".
If the "whole screen" is selected in clipchamp instead of "window", it works. I can attach the two recordings (zoomIt & clipchamp) if that would help. Thanks for your feedback. |
Hi Alex I have now uploaded both videos. Recording_Zoom_4.mp4: Actions 1-5 have been performed:

I can definitely get a repro, even without Clipchamp, just by having regular video accelerated stuff on a secondary screen. |
You're welcome, Alex. I'm glad to have made a contribution and of course hope to find a solution. |
Hello Alex Ist there any solution? What I have found out. It is not a ClipChamp specific problem. All screen recordings (ClipChamp, Snipping Tool, PowerPoint etc.) do not record zoom activities and the mouse pointer disappears. And as mentioned, if the whole screen is recorded, it works. But this is not a good alternative. I read somewhere that the projection settings should be set to “PC screen only”. But that didn't work either. Best regards |
Hello Alex I have continued to test intensively. With the snipping tool, I managed to take 7 screen shots today in which LiveZoom was recorded by ZoomIT. -The Windows screen magnifier is not recorded. -Neither LiveZoom nor the screen magnifier is recorded in ClipChamp. The mouse pointer is recorded, but is no longer visible during recording (for me) after the first zoom action Pretty strange. Do you have any solutions? |
zoomIt v8.01 (tried older versions too)
Unfortunately, it is not possible to use Livezoom in Clipchamp. The cursor is not visible and the zoom action is not recorded during a screen recording.
After the first LiveZoom action (zoom in ctrl+4), the cursor is no longer visible. Zoom in and zoom out are visible, but are not recorded. In PowerPoint (recording feature) everything works perfectly.
ZoomIt LiveZoom works perfectly if the entire screen is recorded instead of just one window. Handling with more than one screen is a little more difficult.
I interpret this behavior as a bug when recording the screen in clipchamp. The question is whether the error is with clipchamp or with zoomIt.
