Add the ability to run the server on the client #52
Comments
Doing it on the client (for the use case of essential) is probably not happening any time soon given a lot of things are broken when attempting to run it on the client. We are working on rewriting the tool for running a server locally on your PC, its not finished and is still under development but you can try to use the latest build here If things break on the development versions of toolbox, don't expect to be able to get it working just yet, as I said it is in development and not finished. If you want to use toolbox without port forwarding, you can use a mod like e4mc on the toolbox server. |
To be clear, it running on the client isn't out of the question. We do have ideas for how we might do that, however its going to be a while until we get around to that |
Thx for all the efforts, the project is awesome, can't wait to play on the server. |
Ripped from LCE, slightly changed to fix some OOBs and reduce file size |
Yeah, it seemed like that, the map is 1:1. |
this can kinda be solved since there is a way in the works to easily make lem servers called toolbox 2 or toolbox4j or net.lem.toolbox honestly idk what krypt is going to call it but it is very promasing and should be 1 command and 3-7 key presses to install and run |
I mean, an easy way for people to host their own LEM server, for example, an instance that can be opened using Essential. That'd be great, I remember Legacy was remarkably easy to play with friends, it had everything easily integrated and you didn't have to deal with anything rare
