Hi-
We need drivers to get the xmos audio processor up under Linux. We also need the camera drivers. Would it be possible to post these? We are happy to make a cash donation or exchange some Kuri parts & boards to help.
Thanks!

If you have a running Kuri, you should be able to get these from the robot itself.
You'll find the camera firmware in /opt/geocam.
As for the driver, you'll have to use madmux, for which you'll only find a binary version on the robot. See the doc here: https://github.com/KuriRobot/Kuri-Documentation/blob/master/reference/ros-packages/madmux.md

For the audio, the Kuri software is able to flash its xmos audio chip. Look for the /opt/gizmo/lib/xmos_linux_tools/xmos_updater executable. The firmware binary should be under /opt/gizmo/share/xmos_linux_tools/mayfield.bin

@MartinBodo do you still have issues with the audio and/or camera firmware? If not, I'll close this.

Is there flash image file for Kuri (containing /opt/geocam) somewhere on the web?

Unfortunately I don't think any of us former employees retained any Mayfield files and/or IP. One thing that could be done is finding somebody with a running robot and ask them to make an image of the filesystem and upload it somewhere.

Something like the following should work:

cd /mayfield/data
tar --one-file-system -c / | gzip > kuri.tar.gz

IMPORTANT: the resulting file may contain sensitive data (wifi passwords, robot UUID, user account info...)

Hey sorry for the delay our Kuri was wondering around campus and I did not have a chance until now to grab the /opt/geocam folder.

Hi Martin,

I know this is an old thread, but I would really like to purchase some spare Kuri parts or a dead robot if possible.

Please let me know if you still have some laying around.
