Dark theme

Hey, thanks for your work on this. It’s great to be able to use ChatGPT in a more casual way with duckduckgo. Just wanted to ask whether you are considering writing a dark theme for the userscript. Currently some of the text is unreadable.

Sorry to hear, hope you will dive through it without long-term effects. And no, I’m not using Dark Reader, I set DDG to dark through its appearance settings. DDG has 4 light and 2 dark themes to choose from. I don’t believe this needs to be automated, a simple manual light/dark toggle for the userscript would be sufficient.

Your design for it is great. I was merely concerned with readability. But I like the second one better, it is more akin to the corresponding light theme and fits the ddg quick results box

I believe an outside border is needed, or the »share feedback« button looks misplaced. So for me it’s B still.

@luetage but if it weren't misplaced i.e. I expand the bubbles to reach the original outside boundary & bring feedback link up, aesthetically do you prefer an outside border or not?

I think I do, because ddg uses borders for its elements too. Personally I would make a border the color of the chat bubble background from B. An alternative would be to change the background of the whole element instead. I don’t know what’s best however, I’m not a designer. It’s up to you, I don’t dislike any of the variants.

@luetage Well you don't have to be a designer to provide useful insight, with the whole-element background idea it matches the other snippest in DDG:
