Unable to register for synchronisation at sync.kotatsu.app.

When I attempt to register for a synchronisation account, it tries to for a while, but ultimately always fails.

@dragonx943, how does one do so? I don't see an option for an OAuth login. If such a thing is available, I'm surprised that #548 (comment) is an open request.

Remember to change server address to moe.shirizu.org.

An update to the application which switches the default to that would be useful, so that others need not search for this thread.

just enter ur correct Google / E-mail account, Kotatsu wont require any authentication

@dragonx943, I was requesting clarification because your advice didn't appear sensical. Now that I've tried changing the server (as you aforesuggested), it appears that I didn't need to utilize a specific e-mail address provider (like Google). Instead, all that needed to be done was switch authentication domains (to moe.shirizu.org).

Additionally, for subsequent readers, note that merely an e-mail address which doesn't exist on the server and a password of choice is enough to register, so ensure that you utilize a password manager to avoid accidentally creating multiple accounts.

@dragonx943, do you have a URI to that? I'd rather not close the issue, since I have little interest in following everything that @KotatsuApp does on a synchronous direct messaging platform. However, if Telegram includes Discord/Matrix-like "thread" functionality, it might be suitable.
