Implementation of an MQTT topic with offline/unavailable devices

Hello,

there are several workarounds that I can use to find out the availability of a ZigBee device. However, this always requires manual effort and I have also noticed, for example, that I then also have to react to the restart behaviour (otherwise failure messages suddenly appear here) or I then have to select whether it is a battery-operated device or not.

Basically, everything is already available in the ZigBee add-on:

• The availability of each device is available
  

• An Advance settings page with which I can set differentiated timeout times for passive and active devices
  

The only thing missing is to provide this information as an MQTT topic.

Hence the question, would such an implementation be useful for more people or how do you solve the problem?
