SONOFF Zigbee 3.0 USB Dongle Plus Not supportd

Hi,

I am trying to get Z2M to work for a specific device. I am running HAS on an unraid server, docker, and want to run Z2M there as well.

When I try to start Z2M it fails with this error:

According to the docs this device is supported but needs flashing (?). I did try to flash it using this firmware, but HAS fails to recognize it and Z2M still doesn't work.

I couldn't find anyone facing the same issue online.

Is this dongle not supported? Or am I missing a step?

Which Sonoff Dongle do you try to use ? Dongle-P or Dongle-E ?
They do not use the same chip.

When posting log, try the paste a full log as they might have usefull information before or after your error in order to help

Also, would you share configuration.yaml (without sensitive information).

If this router is supported, then I must be doing something wrong.

Here is what I have tried doing:

• Install the router firmware using the silabs firmawre flasher
  • It flashes it, but fails to connect after. I need to manually install the original firmare for it to work again.
  • It stops working with HA
  • Fails to work with Z2M
• Change the settings in the config file
  • set the adaptor to ember
  • Set the adaptor to zstack
  • Don't set the adaptor to anything

In all cases, it exits with the error mentioned in the post above. Is something wrong with my adaptor? Or am I not following the guide correctly?

@OZoneGuy Which firmware version is installed?

Whitout any log, it is quite complicated to help.

It stops working with HA

Do you have ZHA installed ?

If your firmware version is 7.3.x or below, you need to set

serial:
  adapter : ezsp # (it is deprecated)

If the version is 7.4.x / 8.x, then

serial:
  adapter : ember

In order to get Z2M working, you must completely stop ZHA unless it uses an other dongle...

That was the issue. After updating the adapter, it starts to work now, Fails to connect to the mqtt server, but that's a different issue. Thanks!

I suppose the solution is to try different adapters?
