Recent Hue outdoor motion sensor (9290030674) unreliable

I use Hue Outdoor Motion sensors with Z2M from the very beginning. However, the recent version (9290030674) is unrealiable and drains battery quickly.

• it stops reporting anything after a given time, usually less then 24 hours after pairing
• it drains battery very quickly, up to 30% per day

The previous version 9290019758 does not suffer from this issue, but it's not in sale any more.

Anybody else facing this?

Update: I seems that the device does not work with 1.2V rechargeable batteries, only 1.5V Alkaline will work.

No, it's not or not exclusively related to the battery type. It seems to affect some devices, while others do well. Here's the battery drain of one affected model. From 100% to 5% in less than 24 hours:

Other devices of same model do work well with no excessive battery.
