Importing Categories stored as a field

Motivation

There are many sites which are using categories stored as a field, but unfortunatelly the current implementation doesn't support their migration.

Proposed solution

Could you please support migration of those categories to appropriate taxonomies?

There is no item in the taxonomies after the migration.
