Description

Cannot add Tapo C210 camera with 1.3.11 firmware into integration. Error occurs:
Invalid authentication data. Make sure you have created your 3rd party account via Tapo app. You can also test if these credentials work via rtsp stream, for example VLC using link rtsp://username:password@IP Address:554/stream1

iOS application update to the latest version and Third-Party Compatibility is enabled
Checked RTSP with credentials and stream is working

Reproduction Steps

  1. Go to Settings
  2. Go to Devices and services
  3. Click Add integration

same for me for a C100 and a C200 camera.
Also when leaving the cloud password field empty (as the description says you can leave it blank if you do not need recordings) i get an error that this field is required.

third party compatibility is enabled in the ios app version 3.8.103

best regards,
godot

  • it is not the same issue if you are getting to cloud control step
  • you need cloud password for control on the most recent firmwares.
  • if rtsp check is failing (the account part) follow faq, also check logs for any errors related to that
