❓ Why contributing?

I love to create a community with people, who more or less share the same interests. I would like to have NoitaMP to be a community mod, instead of a mod implemented and maintained by the one and only modder. I somehow don't like this idea. I really like to share stuff. In addtion to this to be honest to you, we all have a job, family, other hobbies etc., but we all know how annoying it can be to wait for a specific update of a game or other software. If there would be a bunch of contributers, releases might also be rolled out faster. I see a win-win situation on this.

👀 Where to have a look?

Issues

I usuall tend to create issues for stuff, if it's a rework, enhancement, bug, documentation or whatever and I would be really happy, if you also do so:

• Therefore it's the best place to have a look on, if there is anything you would like to work on.
• Or if there is any suggestion to be implemented, but you don't know how. Would be awesome to use the Feature request - Issue template
• If there are any bugs use the bug report - issue template
• 'good first issue' and 'help wanted' labels show issues where contributers are invited to have a look on.

🚨 What to consider?

Important and necessary

• There will be a workflow which automatically increase the version of NoitaMP, but this will only work, when beeing consistent with labels. rework, bug, enhancement are labels have an impact on the version. Take a look on the labels and you will understand.
  

• Only create branches out of githubs issues:
  

• Atm github won't clone labels from issues to pull requests. Please copy those from issue to pull request!

• Talk to each other and ask question, if anything is unclear.

Important, but more nice to have

• It would be awesome if you can stick on camelCase naming on function names.
• Try to stick on the oop schema I am using, you'll find it on 90% of my lua scripts.
• Don't forget to write unit tests for your lua scripts.
