On spotty connections (the kind I am normally on), downloads may take a while and may be interrupted often. Is it possible for XMLHttpRequest to store partial downloads? and resume them? in static/js/web-install.js
Finished my installation after many tries though :)

I was thinking maybe the ability to select a downloaded (release) zip file on the Install page would solve this problem.

This way you can download the release when on good connection, then choose the zip file to install when on spotty connection.

Many times I help friends install and we would meet at a place with bad connection.
