The VIIRS flood product has gone operational in NOAA. You can actually download the data from NOAA CLASS. You can find a user guide under the link: https://www.ssec.wisc.edu/flood-map-demo/funding-development-and-references/. We are also working on a solution to put the data in AWS, which is more convenient for users to grab the data using scripts. I will let you know once they are ready there.
Note the operational data is in netCDF4 format. Not sure what kind of format you are using. For the long-term run, it is better if you switch to NOAA operational data because it is a more reliable output. CIMSS's system is developed mainly for product test.
