It seems that the blast furnace itself is not the cause of the crash
There is a vacuum hopper near the discharge port. Perhaps a large amount of metal ingots were sucked into the vacuum hopper.

Tried to remove the vacuum hopper, but still crashed.

Maybe you can get around this by putting the output chest in the face of the furnace, that way it won't throw out item entities in the world.

Can confirm happening to me as I threw in a stack of Tetrahedrite Dust https://pastebin.com/L2m5FqdN
Had a vacuum hopper near it as well, so I broke said vacuum hopper, yet is still happening as it processes and outputs.

Manually fixed by remaking the infernal blast furnace and placing a chest in front of the output.
