LP cost can be decreased with Alchemical Caps.

LP cost can be decreased with Blood Infused Iron Caps.

Witchwood Rod -

Infernal Rod -
Wand Core Capacity: 150
Recharges Ignis to 20% capacity.
In the Nether only, all other aspects are recharged to 10%.

Tainted Rod -
Wand Core Capacity: 150
In a Tainted Lands biome only, when held in hand, all aspects are recharged to 10%.
Also recharges aspects a little when you take damage from Taint Poison.

Void Wand Core -
Wand Core Capacity: 160

Warpwood Wand Core -
Wand Core Capacity: 250

Being under the effect of Warp Ward negates this recharge.

Your Goal

The Thaumonomicon doesn't display all the information for some wand cores, plus this makes it easier to pick out the core you want from NEI. See #17925 for a similar issue regarding caps.

Your Vision

There would be less hunting for the capacity and effects on incorrect wikis and searching the thaumonomicon for a number that may not be there in some addons. You can compare all the cores on the spot.
