clicking on the mod's tab does not show all the objects.
I think it happens since version 2.6.32 of NEI

Show online cubic block. I've reloaded the world a few days later and there are all the object but in anorher personal modpack the bug still happening
I cant use version newer than 2.6.32 there.

1. GTNH:
   1.1. what item you can't find in gtnh (full name in english)?
   1.2. what version of gtnh you use?

2. Another Modpack:
   2.1. what name and version of you modpack?
   2.2. in what version of NEI you have problem?
   2.3. what item you can't find in this modpack (full name in english)?
   2.4. if modpack is not public. look at the log. maybee there exists errors what not allow the item to be created

Item may be hidden for several reasons

1. it removed
2. it is hidden in the mod using API.hideItem
3. mod INpureCore can hide items
4. config/NEI/hiddenitems.cfg
5. Or something broke when loading the modpack that did not allow the item to be created

To understand your problem we need more details

i think the tab Items must be selected.

targeting other mod i see only items and no blocks.
and the tab item is on an no the block.

The problems seems to be with Blood Magic not registering all items in Item Subnet.

This is how it looks like without touching anything from fresh download. (Taken from Beta 2)
And by enabling certain category, and then re-enabling everything back, half the items just vanish. (done on nightly 698 as to not permanently cripple my nei. Also worked on 702)

You can technically do it by fat fingering double click in Item Subnet on any category, and doesn't seem like it can be easily fixed since vanished items are not registered in Item Subnet.
But i also don't know why would anyone willingly do it, rather than searching by @ .

I don't have this issue with java17
