Excuse me, after reading your work, I have a scientific research question here, I don't know if you can have time to reply. I want to start from the depth map rendered by the Gaussian model and project it into the world coordinate system to register these points, is this scheme feasible? I noticed that you are using the true depth value of the scene here, is it because the depth map rendered by the Gaussian model is too noisy?

The depth maps rendered from the original 3DGS are quite noisy, resulting in unsatisfactory outcomes when using traditional registration methods. Recently, more advanced 3DGS-based approaches, such as 2DGS, have been proposed. These methods can produce significantly better and cleaner depth maps compared to the original 3DGS. Utilizing these improved depth maps may yield better results with traditional registration techniques.
