Video boxes testing procedure

Testing procedure for video boxes

Required hardware

• allen keys (size?)
• laptop with wired ethernet
• vga source
• hdmi source
• (optional) hdmi to vga converter
• power strip

Testing procedure

• Open cover.
• Remove SD card.
• Install preflashed SD card. Keep cover open.
• Boot.
• Find out MAC address:
  • Check builtin lcd.
  • If needed, check dhcp server leases table.
  • Put it in https://github.com/FOSDEM/video/tree/master/software .
• Check hardware functioning:
  • lcd screen
  • Plug into all 3 exposed network ports.
  • audio through
  • vga through (requires screen with vga in)
• Check scaler setting: 720p50.
• Check udp multicast output stream.
