See FACE spec, Appendix J.8. Part of it applies to UDDL. While IDL specifically is not that high a priority, this gives insight into how UDDL, UDDL Queries, FACE and FACE Templates interact with each other. We should be consistent with this regardless of whether we generate IDL or not.
