I can't find the 13th floor anywhere in this building. The numbering on the elevator goes straight from 12 to 14.
Why is this?

Sorry for the inconvenience, some crazy Chinese building team came into our office and forced us to change the numbering to not include the number 13.

The Chinese building team said this:

The thing the Chinese building team told us - ⚠️ Potentially inappropriate text ⚠️
听着,魔鬼!如果你不把楼层数字上的“13”这个该死的数字去掉,我和我的战斗小组就会把所有工人的头砸碎,剥光衣服,然后在所有人面前赤身裸体地吊起来。你有15分钟的时间!

I asked the translator what this means, he said that the building team is warning us that they will use violence to force us to comply if we don't listen to them. They also brought 10 very strong and professional fighters. It's a very crazy building team - we are an international company, we don't believe in Chinese superstitions. Why do they want everyone from all countries to forget about the number 13?

We tried calling the police, but the phone gave the following error: No connection to cell tower.. The connection disappeared after the Chinese building team came in, so maybe they're blocking the signal. After they went away the signal appeared again, but the police were not able to help since they couldn't identify who's the crazy building team that did it. The police only said that it might be related to the Chinese government? I thought governments don't believe in superstitions?
