When the meter readings from the beginning of the day/week/month/quarter/year are not known the calculation will be incorrect by leaving the fields at "0".
Would be great to use these fields only as optional - by empty fields the current values should be used to start the calculation at the day of the setup.
In addition it would be nice to only calculate for example the consumption of the year, when one year was reached (or the startvalue was configured).

Just a nice to have feature, but surely a nice one for new users.

interesting idea, question is how do we want to implement it :)

in basic I provide the settings values, i can image having a button to just adopt the current values to the fields ?

Any news here?
When all the fileds are setup with the current value, the complete measurement of year/month etc is wrong.
So best solution would be to start calculating "today" in standard setup, or to define values from last week/month/year manually, in case they are known in an advanced menu.

still thinking about this one but yea having the current values at initialization make sense
