Running Javascript once in Dioxus Desktop

I want to be able to call some javascript and get the return value in my rust code, without it running too often or breaking in some other way. I tried use_eval but it seemed to rerun almost constantly, and tried calling javascript with the webview object through use_window but that would only return nulls. Is there something that I might've done wrong with the use_eval?
