Using Tessercube on Android is very nice but there are some small issues.

  1. I am unable to use the interpret screen on Android (> Messages> + > Interpret.
I can paste the copied encrypted text but no decryption takes place.

[However, provided the Tessercube keyboard is selected then for any encrypted message the decrypt does work on Android every time with:

  • Select Encrypted text
  • Shared Encrypted text and then select copy
  • Wait 6 seconds for the floating icon and select it
This is very straightforward to use]
  1. On iOS the floating icon does not exist but the interpret functionality works correctly.
It would be nice if iOS gets the floating icon functionality too (if this is possible).

Thanks for using Tessercube!!!

  1. Can you please try the latest version (0.4.2) of Tessercube-Android? We've fixed the interpret issue in the latest release, either on Play Store or downloading the apk directly. Let us know if the issue still exists.
  2. It is an Android only feature for now. We came up with this convenient feature from Google Translate app. Unfortunately, iOS doesn't provide this system feature but we'll see.

Hi, can you tell me what phone and Android OS version you're using for the Tessercube-Android? And by the way, if you're using custom Android ROM (e.g. MIUI, Lineageos), can you tell me the Android ROM version?

I am using Pixel 3 XL with Android 10 (security patch level Nov 5 2019) and it works perfectly on my phone.
