Hi, I made a GitHub account just to request this feature. I am importing .psk/.psas accessed via FModel (not UModel/UE Viewer). When I import them into Blender, though everything is there, the bones are oriented incorrectly (as well as all sized the same way). Here's an example of a .psk I imported with this add-on and what the armature looks like:
As you can see, the bones are all very small and facing the same way, which is not correct. I'm trying to pose this model, so while I can redo the skeleton from scratch, it ultimately ends up causing me more issues in the end. I was trying to find a solution to this problem, because my rudimentary understanding of the issue is that there is some discrepancy in how Unreal renders armatures in world space vs. how Blender renders armatures in world space, and that is what causes this weirdness with the orientation of the armature. I was able to find this old add on, which is not fully compatible with the current version of Blender, here: https://github.com/matyalatte/blender3d_import_psk_psa?tab=readme-ov-file It has the following context menu available when importing .psk/.psas that (as far as I can tell) your add on does not have:
Now, the reason this add on only partially works is because it does correctly import the skeleton like this when I check "reorient bones". Here's the result:
The problem is that because this add on is out of date for current versions of Blender, it does not import the mesh; it only imports the skeleton. And because it conflicts with your importer, it seems like the only thing I can do is import the skeleton, uninstall the add on, then use your add on to import the mesh. That's....a lot of steps for what seems to have been contained in one add on at some point in the past.
Please correct me if I'm misunderstanding things here and there is already some way to do this with your add on that I'm missing. But if there isn't, would it at all be possible to add the ability to reorient bones for .psk imports with your add on? It would be such a lifesaver. Everything I know about Blender I've taught myself, and this is the biggest roadblock I've run into (the skeletons importing incorrectly), and I would appreciate it so much. Thank you!
