Daily Standups

• Timebox daily standup time
• Have a dedicated channel on Keybase for daily updates and use the standup time for issues that concerns the squad.

Code Reviews / PR

• Make it part of your daily habit
• Different squad members own different parts of the app to make the threshold for reviewing much lower

Sprint Planning

• Vary the sprints with both bug and feature sprints
• Make the issues more detailed so that it is easy for contributors to pick them up
• Have "grooming sessions" where you go through all the tickets and use the sprint planning sessions to simply assign the tickets.
• Divide some of the larger issues into smaller subtasks (can be done during the grooming sessions for example)
