lab 4 - locator() alternative in rmarkdown? #33
Comments
So do not zoom in at all? It just runs the full size without that. I thought the point was to get some practice finding a focal point by using the bounding box? If locator() doesn't work in Rmarkdown, how would we go about doing this? I attempted to convert google maps coordinates to plug it in but I am having issues. Is there a more streamlined option? |
Hi,
It is not required to zoom in, it is an option. If you go through Lab 4
instructions (
https://watts-college.github.io/paf-516-template/LABS/lab-04-instructions.html),
there is a 7 minute video explainer of how to do bounding box, with or
without locator function, as locator function does have limitations. To
find the video, search for locator() in the search field.

@AntJam-Howell
Rmarkdown doesn't seem to allow for using the locator() function. What would you recommend as an alternative so we can define our bounding box?
