In nightly 1103, the button backlight is off when screen brightness is set to minimum or auto, and is brightest when screen brightness is set to max.

This defeats the purpose of backlight: when the environment is dark, the screen is set to dark, so the backlight needs to be ON; when under sunlight, the screen is set to max, so the backlight is unnecessary.
