Hello there! I'm Cooper Werner, a junior Computer Science student at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI). With a year of professional experience in Web and Cloud Development, I'm passionate about exploring the diverse aspects of Computer Science. From crafting sleek web applications to designing intricate systems architecture and diving deep into the realms of Artificial Intelligence, I'm always eager to learn and contribute to exciting projects.
- Name: Cooper Werner
- Education: Junior CS student at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI)
- Experience:
- Paraxial Technologies (March 2024 - September 2024) Utilizing AWS, C++, and Computer Vision to detect lung cancer.
- TechSlice (August 2022 - August 2023) Utilized AWS, NextJS, Nuxt3, and Terraform to build high performant cloud and web applications.
- Bellese Technologies (July 2022 - August 2022) Shadowed a team of 20+ software engineers across two companies learning Agile Methodologies and development techniques.
- Software Magic and Rainbows ( June 2021 - August 2021) Created C++ and Python Plugins to injest USB and Serial Data into the Hobbits data analysis tool.
My interests span across various domains within Computer Science:
- Web Development: Crafting elegant and responsive web applications that enhance user experiences.
- Systems Development: Designing robust and scalable systems architectures to tackle complex challenges.
- Artificial Intelligence: Exploring the fascinating world of AI to develop intelligent solutions that push boundaries.
I'm actively involved in a variety of projects, ranging from Web Development to Systems and AI. Here are some highlights:
- HackRPI Hackathon Website - Leading design and development of the Website for RPI's annual hackathon, built with NextJS, Tailwind, and AWS Amplify.
- HackRPI Mini Event API - Designed and implemented a basic CRUD Todo API as a teaching tool for HackRPI's "What the Hack is an RPI?" Mini-Event. Over the course of the event the API handled 109,000 requests, with an average latency of 80ms and a 5xx error rate of 0.12%.
- RPI Spaceflight Society Rocket Engine - Architecting command and control protocols to communicate commands and data from a bi-propellant rocket engine test stand. The data travels over 100m via ethernet with robust and safe code to ensure safe operation of the engine.
