Similar issue with private events, I think it is the same root cause.
But if not, let me know and I will create a new issue.

Context: reproduced with event manager v4.0 and v7.2

Scenario:

  • Log in as a non admin user
  • In a group you are member of, create a group event (any member of the group is allowed to create group events: event manager settings)
  • Enter the event title, start time, end time
  • In the profile section, set the access value to "private"
  • In the registration section, check ""This event has a specified day program"
  • Press the save button
  • "Edit the program of the event" page is displayed
  • Click on "Add day", choose a date, enter a title and click "submit" button
=> The date of the just created day is "1970-01-01"
=> Go back to the event page, but you won't be able to see this new day just added to the event program

Logged in as as admin
=> Go back to the event page, you are able to see this new day just added to the event program

I can confirm this bug just reported by a user, same scenario as above by @oseg also in latest V 8.2
