Hello.
Opening an empty view with only a line of pop up selectors at the bottom is a frustrating experience for my wife and myself. Instead of sophisticated ways to make popups auto close, I'd much rather have a way to ensure that one pop-up is always visible, and which one is chosen by default (last one? Leftmost one? Set through conf? Most often used?..)
The use case here is the dashboard we use on our mobile phone. It offers half a dozen views. Oh these we mostly use the one dedicated to controlling lights. This one is divided in 4 popups, one per area and of these we mostly use the one for the living room. It would make sense to make our most frequent use case our default UI. Alas, my control only goes as far as the view, and I am forced to one more click before being shown anything useful.
Ideally the "default popup" behavior would be a user specific option, with system wide default values.
In the meantime I will see if I can hack the opening of the "lighting" view into a trigger event. But his would be a system wide dirty hack.
Regards,
Xavier
