Registered CharlotteMEDI.com and CharlotteMEDI.org. Will set up a site using GitHub Pages (Free)

Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram "CharlotteMEDI" names are taken (as well as Charlotte_MEDI)

Turns out there is also a weight loss clinic in Charlotte called Medi

@stoph thanks for looking into that information. Bummer about the weight lose group. Have you tried things with “CLT” instead of Charlotte or something with “Queen City”?

Fagan just suggested CharlotteMEDIOrganization. I like CharlotteMEDIPandemic - You need a little dark humor.

@stoph i like the CLT_MEDI. it connects with the website url and projects the same name. Nice work! Also CLT is a popular handle for Charlotte now. Great work!

About to create the github page as well. @tjfagan thoughts on moving this out of your personal space into a 'Charlotte MEDI' org?

should we bind the social media sites with ifttt so postings on twitter or instagram automatically post everywhere else?

I've recruited a buddy that does marketing/social media for a living to help out. Josh Tessler. I'll ask him to maybe join a call in a couple days to talk through some options.

Sorry I should have piped up earlier yesterday, but I was juggling some students/colleagues with tech crises during the WebX meeting --

Marketing only makes sense if you have a very, very clear idea of 1) your client base and 2) your product/mission. If the client base is medical professionals and the product/mission is providing medical-grade PPE from CLT based manufacturers, then what you have right now sounds good.

If, however, your product/mission is pooling community resources (including local manufacturers) to provide stopgap, emergency PPE during the Covid-19 pandemic, I think the name/marketing needs to make that much clearer. Also, (and this relates to my comment on #26 ) if part of the function is pool grassroots, community resources towards emergency PPE production, then this should also be clarified. This may not be a focus of the group at this point, however, it's just something that should be made clearer in marketing names/materials if it is.

@stoph please feel free to get the items off my personal site.

I do want to continue to research and develop not on the CHarlotteMEDI and have a few people so the public does not get confused as to where to start.

@stoph Can I get login info for Instagram clt_medi?

My sister in law is sending me photos, videos, and testimonials from the clinicians who are using the face shields?
