Thoroughly impressive :-)

Any chance of supporting the background textures? I saw a question on /r/ about background colours, but not textures.

thanks, Ian

There are no plans to support external images of any kind for now, as I will be rather busy for the next few months. I would certainly welcome any pull requests for this, though.

Okay. Never worked with python before but will see what I can do (won't be in immediate future).
Still have to figure out how to make nginx serve python.

By way of background (whoops) I contributed a bit to KLE a while back (including work on said backgrounds, decals, etc), but lately have been tied up with Keyboard Layout Analyzer (KLA), trying to find optimum layouts. Also put up a site (keyboard-design.com) to track the results etc. So now I need a way to show the various layouts, in a somewhat prettier form than what KLA generates.

So I wrote a proggie to merge KLA layouts onto blank templates from KLE, putting in finger-coding along the way. Results are not too bad (sample attached) but your versions are way prettier....

I think I will write a proggie to merge KLA layouts directly in KLE json, and then can render them with your tool. But some of them would look better with appropriate background. Hence this. :-)
