About this release:
In 0.6.4 we bring better Hi-DPI support to this application, and in this release, we continue fixing other minor issues related to Hi-DPI support. Please check out the 0.6.4 release note to learn more about the Hi-DPI support.
We also enhanced the Linux support to this application by making use of the filemanger1

As always, I would like to say thanks to all the contributors who donated their time working on the translation. If you are also interested to improve existing translations or adding new translations, head to Weblate and then start translating!

Pineapple Pictures 0.6.4
Supported platforms:
- Linux/X11 with at least Qt 5.10 provided and using a stacking window manager.
- Windows.
For the pre-built binaries I uploaded here, only Windows, Ubuntu 20.04 and Ubuntu 22.04 pre-build binaries are provided. For other OS/distro, feel free to build from source code and use, macOS will probably also work without issue but it's not supported at all.
Changelog:
0.6.3 - 0.6.4:
- Hi-DPI action icon rendering (thanks to @chirs241097!)
- Raster images on Hi-DPI devices will no longer be blurry
- Add Catalan language translation, update Spanish translation (thanks to @toni-em!)
About this release:
This release brings up two fixes related to Hi-DPI support. Although most Windows users won't notice any differences due to the default Hi-DPI scale factor rounding policy set by Qt, users who use Linux or using QT_SCALE_FACTOR
to force the DPI scaling will notice the action icons and raster images are blurry when scaled. This release fixed this issue to bring better Hi-DPI support. Thanks to @chirs241097 for the fix!
As always, I would like to say thanks to all the contributors who donated their time working on the translation. If you are also interested to improve existing translations or adding new translations, head to Weblate and then start translating!

Pineapple Picture 0.6.0
Supported platforms:
- Linux/X11 with at least Qt 5.10 provided and using a stacking window manager.
- Windows.
For the pre-built binaries I uploaded here, only Windows and Ubuntu 20.04 pre-build binary are provided. For other OS/distro, feel free to build from source code and use, macOS will probably also work without issue but it's not supported at all.
Changelog:
0.5.4 - 0.6.0:
- Menu to allow you to open the folder containing the image in your file explorer
- Panning large image is now much faster than previous versions
- Configure file reworked (you may need to open the settings dialog and re-apply some option)
- Option to set window startup size (only in the configure file, option is not in the settings dialog in 0.6.0)
- Update translations
- Windows binary: update dependencies version
About this release:
This is a major release of Pineapple Pictures that introduced some new features and addressed some usability issues. There is now a menu action that allows you to open the folder that contains the image file, and you can now set the startup window size via the configure file (an option in the settings dialog will also be added in 0.6.1 release). Panning large images may be lagging in previous versions, now in 0.6.0 panning large images will be much faster than the previous version. In this version I also reworked the configuration part of the program, so if you are not using the default option of Pineapple Pictures, you may need to open the settings dialog and re-apply the settings.

Changelog:
0.5.3 - 0.5.4:
- Display system-native path separators in the properties dialog
- Add Turkish translation, thanks to @54linux-ea!
- Windows binary: update dependencies version
About this release:
This is a maintenance release of Pineapple Pictures so it doesn't introduce any new features. I'm still preparing for some new features for the 0.6.x release. I also tested with some additional image format support like APNG and EXR but was not very happy about the result of the current state, so it's not included in this release. Before APNG and EXR become a part of the main release for Windows, there is a separate release in the itch.io store with APNG and EXR format support for people who would like to use it right away :)
