It is unclear if this has anything to do with the float’s failure or not.\nThe other float that failed (4902689) was another RBR float that had previous beached, been recovered, and refurbished by NKE.\nFloat 4902671, deployed in the Labrador Sea, was adopted by the Oceans 11 class from Horton High School. More info can be found on the Canadian Adopt-a-float web page.\n2 floats with ice detection were deployed in the Beaufort Sea.
